
This new park is dedicated to Daniel and Marcia Glosser, longtime Johnstown residents committed to the their community, family, and friends.
Marcia Glosser, MD (1929-2006), a dedicated Physician and community supporter graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the Western Psychiatric Institute. Marcia served as President of the Westmont Hilltop Parent Teacher Organization and the Johnstown Symphony Society Auxiliary, and was a board member of the Johnstown Water Authority, She was appointed to the Pennsylvania Commission for women by Governor Ed Rendell, and Project Bridge by Governor Milton Shapp to care for those affected by the Johnstown Flood of 1977.



Daniel Glosser (1924-2016), a native of Johnstown, was a dedicated businessman and community supporter. Among his many accomplishments, Daniel was a World War II Navy veteran, Electrical Engineer, and an entrepreneur. He was a third generation President of the family business, M. Glosser & Sons, Inc, was Co-founder and President of the David A Glosser Foundation, charter board member of JARI (Johnstown Area Regional Industries), Founding Member and Chairman of the Board of the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies, Founder of Emglo Products Corporation, Board member of the Moxham National Bank and Board member of the Cambria Library Association.
